GENOA TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The Genoa Township Board of Trustees will hold a special public meeting on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. in the Genoa Township Administration Office Conference Room, 5111 S. Old 3C Hwy., Westerville, Ohio 43082, to officially open the following public hearing: GENOA TOWNSHIP ZONING COMMISSION INITIATED ZONING TEXT AMENDMENTS THAT ARE OMNIBUS IN NATURE AND INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: CREATING, DEFINING, MODIFYING, ORGANIZING, AND/OR REGULATING MULTIPLE LAND USE CLASSIFICATIONS AND CONTROLS, INCLUDING THOSE CONSIDERED CONDITIONAL USES; IMPROVING DEFINITIONS THAT ARE OUTDATED, VAGUE, OR INSUFFICIENT; DETAILING AND EXPANDING UPON THE TOWNSHIP’S ZONING AUTHORITY AS WELL ITS INTENTS AND PURPOSES FOR ZONING LAW; CONSOLIDATING AND CODIFYING CURRENT AND BEST ZONING PRACTICES; CLARIFYING AND REVISING STANDARDS THAT ARE CONSIDERED GENERAL IN NATURE AND APPLICABLE TO MORE THAN ONE ZONING DISTRICT; RESTRUCTURING AND REORGANIZING STANDARDS THROUGHOUT THE DOCUMENT TO IMPROVE CONSISTENCY AND FUNCTIONALITY; ESTABLISHING RULES FOR IMPROVEMENTS CURRENTLY NOT REGULATED, INCLUDING NEW AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGY; ALTERING, SIMPLIFYING, AND MODERNIZING STANDARDS, INCLUDING DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS, PARKING, AND LANDSCAPING; ADDRESSING VARIOUS TOPICS RELATED TO ENFORCEMENT CONCERNS; ADDING FLEXIBILITY TO BETTER RESPOND TO CHANGES IN TRENDS AND LEGAL REQUIREMENTS; RESOLVING INCONSISTENCIES AND DISPARITIES THROUGHOUT THE DOCUMENT; INCORPORATING A MULTITUDE OF CHANGES PERTAINING TO VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS; AND CORRECTING GRAMMATICAL AND/OR TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS, ZC CASE NO. 2024-05.* The amendment can be viewed at the zoning office during regular business hours or online at www.GenoaTwp.com/Omnibus . The opening of this hearing is a procedural matter necessary to adhere to statutory requirements. No presentation, public comment, or discussion of the amendment will occur at this meeting. The hearing will be immediately continued on the record to a date, time, and place certain.
