Form No. 124 Prescribed by Secretary of State (01-23) Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of the Ten-Mill Limitation R.C. 3501.11(G), 5705.19, 5705.25 NOTICE OF ELECTION Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of Genoa Township, Delaware County, Ohio, passed on the 27th day of January, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the Primary Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 6th day of May, 2025 the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten-mill limitation: A renewal of 5.3 mills and an increase of 2.4 mills for each $1 of taxable value to constitute a tax for the benefit of Genoa Township for the purpose of providing and maintaining fire apparatus, appliances, buildings, or sites therefor, or sources of water supply and materials therefor, or the establishment and maintenance of lines of fire alarm telegraph, or the payment of permanent, part-time, or volunteer firefighters or firefighting companies to operate the same, including payment of the firefighter employers' contribution required under section 742.34 of the Revised Code, or the purchase of ambulance equipment, or the provision of ambulance, paramedic, or other emergency medical services operated by a fire department or firefighting company that the county auditor estimates will collect $9,489,000 annually, at a rate not exceeding 7.7 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $199 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2025, first due in calendar year 2026.
